A typical tender scenario would be;

On taking a call for assistance, we will talk through the proposed tender with you and decide upon the resources input needed to achieve the time-scale deadlines set by the bid. Once instructed to proceed, we will require a full set of documents from yourselves, and the point of contact within your company to facilitate the bid return.

On receipt of the tender documents we will strip out the relevant trade packages for collating and forward on for pricing. Depending on the type of tender, i.e. drawings and spec, or BOQ, we will produce a take off for the project sufficient enough to enable quotes to be obtained for the works. We will undertake a full site visit, informing you of the date and time, so you can attend if required.

Relevant site information will be recorded for further consideration. The format we use is based upon the model site visit report provided in the CIOB Code of Estimating Practice (2009), this ensures that essential data is not overlooked.

Where appropriate we will make use of your preferred trade contacts, and thereby maximise the rate of sensible return prices obtained. If further contacts are needed, we have our own extensive list of reliable trade contacts, plus our status as a 'Buyer' on Constructionline means we have access to 18,000 more pre-qualified suppliers and sub-contractors. As the tender bid progresses, we will be available to attend, if required, any mid-tender meetings.

The bid submission, in many cases, requires more than just a priced tender document. A programme, and outline method statements and risk assessment can be prepared by us also, if requested.

On completion of the bid we will attend your office for adjudication of the bid submission. Any revision can then be made to the tender and the covering letter can be formulated.

We can attend the post tender client interview, and hopefully if successful produce a full hand over package to your contracts team. If you are the Principal Contractor we can then aid you with preparing the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan
